Reflecting His Grace Ministry

My name is Kevin Brinson.  For the past 8 years, my ministry has been to the youth at Romeo Baptist Church in Dunnellon, Florida as a youth pastor and to the people of Ocala, Florida as a police officer.  Recently at the age of 32, God has given me a new ministry.

I have been diagnosed with a rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  It is an aggressive peripheral T-cell lymphoma cancer which appeared in my chest behind my breastbone.  To many, being diagnosed with cancer might sound like a death sentence or at the very least the start of a terrible nightmare.  And, to be honest, it did feel like that on the first day of my diagnosis.  But after the initial shock wore off, I began to see this disease in a new light.  I do not feel that God has “cursed” me with this disease.  But rather, He has given me an opportunity to show others His grace and mercy through this ordeal.

God has already blessed me and my family greatly (and I feel that His hand will continue to be upon me).  He has given us a “peace that surpasses all understanding” and shown us a tremendous amount of love and support from Himself and our friends and family.  I feel that my ministry is to show others God's love and mercies which are new every morning.  It is my prayer that through this website, others might see the “reflection of His grace” that He has allowed to shine down upon us.

In Christ,

Kevin Brinson

Youth Pastor, Romeo Baptist Church

P.S.  Your prayers are greatly appreciated!
